T-House

​​Rather than moving to the countryside and settling for a rural life, the owners opted to develop their lot into a modern retreat hidden in the busy metro. T- house is an indication of the owners’ determination to engage with life and ways of doing things in the city, while enjoying the calming and soothing effect of being with nature.

Designed as a family home to be used all year round and to cater a multitude of activities the family absorb themselves in, the house features home cinema, music room, play room, gym, basketball court, guest lounge, guest room and swimming pool. The overall form is broken into small volumes in order to address the privacy and acoustics considerations in the aforementioned amenities.

Glazed surfaces in the living room and dining area define permeable openings which extend the interior spaces to the exterior. This effortless connection between the interior and the exterior spaces is very much in keeping with the lifestyle of the owners who spend a considerable part of their day in the open air. Vertical louvers and concrete slits span areas facing southwest.
